    About Me I'm a single mom with a part time job in banking. I'm currently going to school full time. I feel I have no time to exercise. The time I do have I spend studying or cleaning house. I was never big and had an awesome matabolism until I was pregnant and gained 90 lbs. I lost it all but 25-30 lbs. Now I have gained most of that back. I have gained 10 lbs in 6 months and I feel it will not get any better. I use to be very athletic and now I'm just LAZY!! I really hope to change that and to find 30 min. a day to walk or exercise.

    Jennifer Lost 7 lbs so far. Well since my last visit to the Dr. I will continue with hctz until my blood pressure is undercontrol!

    Jennifer Well the blood pressure was still up. I am on 25 mg. of hctz now. I have made an appt. with my Dr. on Wedn. to talk about other options I may have.

    Jennifer Haven't done so well on the walking. I did go to Red Lobster and ordered Broiled Salmon with broccoli and asparagus with a side salad. I hope that wasn't too bad for me. I have to get my blood pressure checked again. I hope it is down today!

    Hi. Jennifer. Thanks for letting me know about the soy bars. I think I'll give them a try, too.

    I see that you say you haven't done so well with walking. I'm just getting started with walking again. My little poodle isn't that athletic, but I like to take her along just for the companionship. Believe it or not, I'm actually thinking of getting her a jogging stroller (they make them for pets now) so that she can enjoy the excursion without slowing me down. (I don't jog, but I do like to walk fast.) I imagine we'll get stared at, but I don't mind being the town eccentric--just as long as I'm dropping some weight!!!

    I hope your doctor's appointment went well.

    I could not find the broiled salmon on the Red Lobster web site, but their Wood Grilled salmon was only 210 calories. Also, they list their broccoli at 45 calories, their asparagus at 60 calories, and their garden salad at 90 calories.

    All told that's 405 calories, which is really quite good for dining out at a restaurant... great job!

    On each person's profile, there should be a place to click "Add Friend". I believe that Dr. Tabor, Shannon, and the Nutrition Staff are automatically added to your friends list when you sign up. But if you wanted to become friends with one of the ladies whose videos you might have watched (such as Sherry or Genevieve), you can go to their profile and click "Add Friend".

    If you ever need support, you can compose a message to the Nutrition Staff at any time or post in the forums for comments from anyone.
